Primeval: New World – The Complete Series

In recent years, television has basically replaced feature films. Gripping storytelling and excellent acting is seen more often on the small screen than on the big. Shows manage to hook viewers and keep them glued to the screen for the duration of their beloved shows. Primeval: New World tries to attempt this trend but doesn’t quite pull it off. It tries hard, that’s for sure but it just ends up as mediocre television at best.

Serving as a spin off of the sci-fi action series Primeval, Primeval: New World continues where its predecessor left off following a group of young, good-looking government agents who investigate anomalies which manage to transport prehistoric animals. Each episode then focuses on this team of dino-hunters as chase and fight these horrific creatures.

The cast of Primeval: New World is comprised of truly hot young people. There is the team leader, played by Niall Matter. Sara Canning, Danny Rahim, Crystal Lowe, Miranda Frigon and Geoff Gustafson fill the sexy government agent quota and they are nice to look at.

Primeval – New World has its moments. It’s not terrible but then again, it’s not great either. The visual effects are a bit cheesy as is the dialogue. The acting is subpar and the plots can be a bit better. If you have time to kill and feel like spending said time watching an average science fiction adventure, then Primeval: New World – The Complete Series might be right up your alley.

DVD Bonus Features

The bonus features for Primeval: New World – The Complete Series aren’t exactly out of this world but they’ll do. They consist of Meet the Cast – Inside The Tank and 13 episodic behind-the-scenes featurettes.
